This college has carved a special place in the field of sports, especially Kabbadi (Men) both Punjab style and National style. Since its establishment, every year, this college secured some distinguished position in the Guru Nanak Dev University inter-college 'B' division kabbadi competitions. During the academic sessions 2012-13 & 2013-14 the college national style kabbadi team got third position in the GNDU inter-college competition. The college Girls Cross Country team also stood third in the GNDU inter-college competition during the year 2011-12 & 2012-13.

This institution is proud to have players like Arjuna Awardee Balwinder Singh 'Fiddu' and Shivdev Singh. The college also provide facilities in the games such as Cricket, Badminton, Chess and Athletics. The college has spacious green lush playground and infrastructure for these games.


There is one NCC unit of 21 Punjab Battalion NCC (KPT) working in this college, under Lieutenant Jagbir Singh Bhullar, Assistant Professor of Political Science. Only physically fit students can opt for NCC. Every cadet has to become a part of Parade, Lecture and Annual Training Camps. Cadets learn the motives of Service, Protection and Cooperation.

  • Students Participated in 10 days Annual NCC Training Camp
  • Students attended a 10 days (August 27,2109 to September 5,2019) Annual NCC Training Camp at NCC Academy, Ropar, organised by 21 Punjab Battalion NCC, Kapurthala under the able guidance of Commanding Officer Col. Hitesh Duggal and Administrative officer Col. G.S. Bhullar. 11 students from College and Collegiate School participated under the supervision of the Senior Officer Mr. Yuvraj Singh. During the camp students were participated in various competition such as Drill, Bhangra, Tug of War and they brought laurels to the college by winning 10 Gold Medals.

This college has two NSS units: one each for boys and girls. Mrs. Navpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor of Economics is the Program Officer for Girls Unit and Dr. Yadwinder jit Singh Bhatia, Assistant Professor of History is the Programm Officer for Boys Unit. The students can voluntarily become members of the same and can attend one day as well as seven days Annual Camps being organised every year in some or the other village. During these Camps students are provided information and practical training about social serving, child education, adult education, health and sanitation along with tree plantation.
This College also have Red Ribbon Club, which awares the students about HIV AIDS, blood donation, stigma reduction, etc. among the youth in educational institutions. It also prepares and promotes the youth peer educators within and outside the campuses.
Role of the Red Ribbon Club:
  • * Enables youth, especially the female students, to identify and understand situations of exploitation and abuse.
  • * Sensitize the youth regarding care and support needs of PLHIV.
  • * Increase access to health care services.
  • * Create linkages between youth and GOs, NGOs and CBOs.
  • * Organize and facilitate VBD camps and mobilize the youth for VBD.
  • * Create among the youth a cadre of peer educators.
This college has organised a blood donation camp in january 2011 with help of blood donation bank, kapurthala in which 33 students of the college have voluntarily donated the blood.
Career & Counselling Cell has been established in 2011 with the financial assistance from University Grants Commission, New Delhi. It provides information regrading job oppurtunities to the students according their interest and capabilities.This cell has a special notice board board for providing latest information regarding Job vaccancies, Professional Higher Studies, Fellowships, Civil Exams etc. Special seminars and lectures are organised for this purpose from time to time. The students can get application forms from this cell.
